" Weddings are big buisness. People who run a buisness know how to be successful. You will be reseaching the possibilities that people have had to  make money for the Wedding industry."

Your task is to work in a group of 5 people.

 You must plan and show evidence that you can organize a Wedding.

You can pick what type of Wedding you would like to plan. It may be a Hindu, Muslim,  Sikh, Christain or Jewish Wedding. Or you may plan a Civil Partnership ceremony.

You will need to demonstrate that you have understood the cultural needs of  your chosen Wedding. This will include religious requirements and cultural needs for example  the necessary  food requirements.

 This task is like a mini apprentice workshop. You have to work as a Team and decide if your budget is high medium or low. For each category yopu will need to show value for money. You will have to research the cost of the Weddibng. then you will show your portfolio to the comitte who will  mark your wedding on the following points.

1.  The suitability and value for money for The Outfits including Bride, Groom and Bridesmaids

 The Bridal outfit and Cost, The Gromms outfit and cost, The bridesmaids and ushers outfits etc and the cost

 2. the Suitability and value for money for The Venue and Decorations/ Food

 Research your Venue and the costs. Research your chosen theme for your decorations. Research your chosen cateres and the cost per head for the meal. remember if it is a religious Wedding you will have to get the correct rules for the food. Jewish needs Kosher foods, Muslim need halal meat, and Hindu Weddings may need totally vegetarian food that includes eggless cakes.

 3. the Suitability and Value for meoney forThe Transport to and from the venue/ Entertainment for the Reception.

4. The Overall Presentation of your Wedding, including theme, food, entertainment and venue

 You will show your portfolio to the comitte and then like the Apprentice pitch for the best Wedding.

 Your client is a couple who are willimng to spend a  reasonable sum of money. How will you convince the couples  that your Wedding is worthwhile.

 Each group will be assessed on the Key Skill for working with Others.

 They will receive a certificate that shows accreditation from an outside body. This will be an excellent requirement for the keyu skills for employers.
