Challenge 1 from the Key Steps Award Answer the question " Who are you? with ten facts about your self. Try and come up with interesting ideas that no one else could say about themselves. Share your ideas with the group. How many facts were unique to you? Plan a design for your own webspace Personal Profile page using a combination of text, images , music, video clips etc. Examples that are obvious I am a boy who is 11 years old. I live in Rugby in a semi detached house. I have one brother who is older and a younger sister. Examples that are more interesting
I am very interested in art. I have my own website. I am interested in films.
Challenge 2 Share your thoughts with a partner about three personal experiences or emotions, for example: a recent event which made you feel angry. What happened? Could it have been avoided?) A time in your life when you felt espicially happy. ( was it a single event that made you feel this way, or a combination of factors?) A time when you felt embarrassed. Why was the situation embarrassing? Would you feel the same if it happened again? or an event or story in the news that made you feel sad or upset. Challenge 3 Take part in a whole group session to create a long list of skills ( things you are good at, such as leadership or using ICT, cooking and qualities what you are like for example cheerful, friendly, etc. Using these ideas. & any others can you think of, make a two column list of your personal skills and qualities. Challenge 4 Look at examples of flyers or leaflets that candidates put through people's doors before elections . Imagine you are standing for election.
